Betty’s Cherry Pie Fruit Pizza Recipe

how to make chocolate chip cookies, recipes, cookingIn this video, Betty demonstrates how to make Cherry Pie Fruit Pizza. A chocolate chip cookie crust is layered with a sweetened cream cheese sauce, cherry pie filling, crushed pineapple, bananas, kiwi fruit, and mandarin oranges. It makes a lovely dessert, and it is a great compromise between a sugary, fatty dessert, as opposed to one that has some nice, colorful fruits in addition to the sweet crust. Ingredients: 1 roll chocolate chip cookie dough, softened (You may use a roll of sugar cookie dough or homemade cookie dough.) 8-oz. package cream cheese, softened to room temperature ½ cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 can cherry pie filling (You may use strawberry pie filling.) 8 ½-oz. can crushed pineapple, drained 2 or 3 bananas, sliced 3 or 4 kiwi fruit, peeled and sliced into half-slices 1 small can mandarin oranges, drained cooking oil spray Spray bottom of a pizza-sized pan with cooking oil spray. Place softened cookie dough in pan, and press it into an even circle. Bake, according to cookie package directions. Cool. Cream together 8-oz. cream cheese, ½ cup sugar, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Smooth on top of cooled cookie dough. Top with cherry pie filling, being careful not to add so much of the liquid part that it would seep down into the crust and make it soft. Next, spread drained, crushed pineapple over the top of the cherry pie filling. Evenly place slices from 2 or 3 bananas on top of the crushed pineapple. Now, place half-slices from 3 or 4 kiwi

Yonanas is a kitchen appliance that turns frozen fruit into a creamy, healthy frozen treat. It’s a great idea, a decent appliance but I felt you can make this “ice cream” with almost any food processor blender on the market. Do you own one? What do you think?

how to make chocolate chip cookies, recipes, cookingIn this video, Betty demonstrates how to make “Melt-in Your-Mouth” Oreo Truffles. This recipe was submitted by Jessicab98, as a yummy way to welcome the holiday season. These truffles are truly wonderful! My family loves them! Ingredients: 1 package Oreo cookies, crushed in the food processor to fine crumbs 1-8 oz. package of cream cheese, at room temperature (fat free makes them too soft) 12 oz. semisweet chocolate chips ½ oz. paraffin , optional (from Betty: I added this, because it will make your coated truffles prettier and easier to handle; it is not necessary.) Crush the Oreo cookies and mix with cream cheese. Using a small melon baller, scoop and roll the mix into small balls. (I just pinched off a small amount and rolled it in my hand.) Put on a foil or wax paper covered baking sheet with a little space between them. Refrigerate for about an hour. Melt the chocolate chips and roll the Oreo balls to cover. Refrigerate on the baking sheet until set before moving them to a different container. These may be served on a fancy plate or placed in an airtight storage container to keep them fresh. You can roll these with just one hand. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, then place the glass bowl over another bowl with hot water in it to keep the chocolate soft. Also, if you tilt the bowl with the chocolate, you can keep most of it near the bottom and roll the balls near the top for a thinner coating. They can be served cold or room temperature. They’re softer at room

Make Butter at Home Using Cream

how to make chocolate chip cookies, recipes, cookingThanks to follow youtuber jihadacadien for showing us just how easy it is to make butter at home. I don’t know that it will save you any money really since cream cost as much as butter but at least you know exactly what is in it. Just a note, this was our first time making it. Our first try tonight was with a blender and it didn’t work well for us. We gave up and started over with a small food processor which worked in just 2 minutes! So I HIGHLY recommend the food processor but you can certainly use a blender or even just manually shake a jar. Doing it with the cream at room temperature makes it “churn” faster. If you want, add salt at the very end, after rinsing the fresh butter with water then mix the salt into it to your taste.
